In what was now standard procedure, Topps issued its standard-size Traded (or extended) set for the fourth year in a row. Several of 1984's top rookies not contained in the regular set are pictured in the Traded set. Extended Rookie Cards in this set include Dwight Gooden, Jimmy Key, Mark Langston, Jose Rijo, and Bret Saberhagen. Again this year, the Topps affiliate in Ireland printed the cards, and the cards were available through hobby channels only in factory set form. The set numbering is in alphabetical order by player's name. The 132-card sets were shipped to dealers in 100-ct set cases. A few cards have been seen with a "grey" logo for Topps, these cards draw a significant multiplier of the regular Topps Traded cards, but are not yet known in sufficient quantity to price in our checklist.
